1.Pharmacodynamics:

Albendazole is to restrains insect intake of glucose irreversibly, and, inhibits the activity of fumaric reductase and the formation of AMP. Finally, this leads to the death of the insect body from gradual energy exhaustion.

2.Pharmacokinetics

Albendazole is one of the best absorptive benzimidazoleanthelmintics. It can reach the maximal plasma Omax value within 24 h, and lasts 1524 h.

Indications:

Albendazole is a broad-spectrumhighly-efficientlow-toxicity anthelmintic drug. It is used to treat Gastro-intestinal worms (Ascaris suum,Trichuris suis, Strongyloides stercoralis, Bunostomum phlebotomum, Parascaris equorum, Ancylostoma braziliense,  Oesophagostomum spp.), Lungworms (Metastrongylus spp.), trematodes and cestodes.

Usage and dosage

     Orally administ. at the following levels per kg of bodyweight: horse, 5-10 mg, cattlesheep, 10-15 mg, dogerminefoxraconn dograbbite, 25-50 mg, poultry, 10-20mg. (it is calculated by dosages of Albendazole).

Points for attention

1.Do not use on pregnant animals.

2.Keep out the reach of children.

Withdrawal period

Cattle: 14 days sheep: 4days, porcine: 7days; poultry: 4daysThe milk abandon time: 60 hours.
