Long-lasting Ilica is a ready-to-use sterile solution containing 2%w/v Ivermectin.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

The function of Ivermectin is to increase the release of gama-amino-butyric acid (GABA), which restrains the insect bodyand opens the C1 passage controlled by Glutanic acid. It increases the permeability of neurilemma to the C1 passage, and then blocks the nerve signal transmission. Finally, it paralyses the nerves and causes the muscle cell to lose the ability to contract, and leads to the death of the insect body.

Indications:

Long-lasting Ilica is used for the treatment and control of a wide range of Gastro-intestinal worms (Ascaris suum,Trichuris suis, Strongyloides stercoralis, Bunostomum phlebotomum, Parascaris equorum, Ancylostoma braziliense, Oesophagostomum spp.), Lungworms (Metastrongylus spp.) and ectoparasites Haematopinus suis, Sarcoptes scabiei var. Suis, Demodex folliculorum,Hypoderma bovis, Hypoderma linneatum, in horses, cattle, sheep and pigs.

Dosage & Administration:

Inject subcutaneously at a rate of 0.02 ml per kg bodyweight.

Withdrawal period:

Do not treat pigs, cattle or sheep within 28, 35 or 35 days, respectively, of slaughter for human consumption.
